Very nice Corp of Engineers facility that includes two swimming beaches, playground, beach volleyball net, basketball goal and boat launch. Sites were not real spacious, but enough room to move about. The swimming areas are very nice and clean. The campground sits on a peninsula so all sites are within 100 feet of the water with many sitting directly on the lake. Not very close to the attractions in Branson if that is what you are looking for. I will definitely go back again.

Stayed 4 nights at the campground. The facility is a little older but was keep very clean. The owners seen to spend lot of time and money on the place based on the number of workers and time you saw them about. They had all the amenities you would expect for the Yogi title (pool, water slide, putt-putt, games, hayrides, etc.) They basically had a planned activity every hour for the children. Our 3 children (11,9,7) had a absolute ball while we there there. I would have given this place a 10 except for a few items. Some of the spots are a little short. Our 32' trailer had truck took up every inch of the site. Some of the spots could also use some leveling. I think we had to raise one side 6 inches and the back levelers were basically on the ground. Also some of the older trees have disappeared so some of the spots were completely out in the sun. These are minor items that didn't affect the quality of our stay, and this campground was the highlight of our trip to Mammoth Cave.

We spent 3 nights in Area C full hook-up area. This loop is located on a hillside and can be hard to get into depending on your trailer size. I had to inch my way into the spot due to trees on the opposite side of the road prohibited getting the vehicle off the road to back into the spot. The full hookup spots in area T are closer together but are level and appear easier to get in/out of. The park was clean and an attendant is available 24 hours at the check-in station. There is also a small store on-site with the basic items. The swimming area was also relatively clean. The park does allow extended stays so you may be next to someone who appears to have brought half of their house (grills, ATVs, tents, regrigerators, etc.) I have been to nicer places, but this campground was clean and had the amenities you would be looking for around the lake.

This campground does not deserve to be called a Jellystone Campground. The facilities are not up the the quality we have seen at the other Yogi's. We stayed only one night passing through the area after staying 4 nights in a Yogi in Kentucky. 90% of the sites sit alongside the river but do not have river views. They are your basic canoe rental campground sites. There has been no upgrades (pads, tables, light poles, etc) to any of these sites. The pool is pretty small and the water park they have installed is only a couple of water squirting features. Not what I would advertise as a children's splash playground. The game room/restaurant are only open in the evenings and the food prices are outrageous. We took the kids down to eat and watch cartoons. The 2 piece chicken finger meal with fries was $7.50 and that didn't include the $1.50 drink. Hamburger and hot dogs were more expensive. I couldn't see spending $50 for 5 people to eat there. Also most of the kids activities were scheduled to begin at 8pm or latter. No exactly prime time for my children to start things. I definitely wonder how many activities they even have during the week when the canoeing crowd in not there. If you are looking for the Yogi experience do not go to this campground. If you are just in the area to canoe why pay the costs that they are charging. We will not be back the this park.

Camped here in June 2009. It was our first time in an Oklahoma state park, so nothing to compare it to. First the good; Sites were paved and level and most had tables and fire rings but some were short if you have a long trailer. All sites are within 100 yards of the lake. There isn't a designated swimming area so you can swim anywhere. The lake has a long swallow shoreline which makes swimming with kids easy. The park also has a new nature center. The not so good: There seems to be few rules at this particular park. Parking is a free-for-all with cars all over the roads and the camping spots. The park is popular with day trippers. If you have a lake side spot the day trippers will drive between the lake and your campsite and park/play. The restrooms where attended to but I would not consider them "clean" compared to Missouri/Arkansas state parks. I probably would not return to this particular park.

We spent Memorial weekend at the park. As usually the park was in excellent condition. I suggest loop A with the view of the lake. These spots are quite large and spread out. The hiking and overlooks are fantastic. As reported by many, shopping for supplies is 20 miles away so come prepared. Unlike some other postings, I think that approaching the park from the West is easiest. While the hill is longer it doesn't have the drop-off at the edge of the road to think about nor does it seem as steep. We are repeat visitors and will be back again.

We camped here in April 2009. There are two different areas. The first area located by the Marina is the the older area. Spaces here are quite small and close together. People camping here will have to pay attention to spot sizes. The second area (where we stayed) is located by the swimming area. The campground is being worked on so about 50% of the spots are currently closed. The entrance road is also closed so you will have to enter the campground from the exit. As expected the turns are not designed to accommodate trailers in this direction. We did drop through a ditch trying to enter the campground. This area is slightly more spread out and the spaces are larger but still pay attention to the published lengths of the sites. Some are very short. All sites are within 200' of the lake and swimming area. The bathrooms were clean and had hot water. I would return when the construction is complete and access improves.

Excellent campground. We stayed over Labor Day weekend so the campground was full. However the park was not to crowded to enjoy. The kids (10,8,6) had plenty of space to ride bikes and play. We even enjoyed the pool. I suggest getting to the pool early on busy weekends, they will turn people away when it gets full. Be sure to take the Devils Den trail early to beat the crowds. Also be sure to fill you gas tank when you exit the interstate, there isn't anything around the park.

The campground is getting a little old and could use a some TLC. If you have a long trailer, 32 ft or longer, some of the turns are a little tight. You will see some of the scrapes on the trees from people who were not paying attention. The bottom loop is closest to the lake and the swimming area which makes walking a great option. There are plenty of things to do in Osage Beach if you are tired of playing in the lake. We camp here every year and we have no reason not to return next summer.

One of the nicest campgrounds we have every stayed in. Loop 101 thru 158 is the nicer side of the park. Sites are slightly larger and more private. The beach is wonderful with small crowds. On a "busy" afternoon there may have been 200 people, all within 100 yards of the boardwalk. But if you wanted to walk down the beach 200 yards you would be by yourself. Bicycles are handy and you can rent a small trailer at the office to carry your stuff to the beach. This campground is a must visit if you want to go to the beach.

Definitly stay in Area A around the large loop. These sites are enormous while the sites in areas B,C,D are right on top of each other. The hike to the waterfall is every nice. Take a picnic lunch and spend an hour. Don't forget to check out the overlooks along the highways. This is a beautiful park with lots of hiking. A must stay.
